Arriving in Moscow was ummmm interesting, hundreds of men standing around outside the station and rush hour worse than London has ever been, apparently more people use the Moscow underground than London and New York combined, interesting fact eh? We completely fail to live by the one rule we set ourselves - never travel at rush hour.
Godzilla's Hostel is great, they even book our tickets all the way to Mongolia for us, with that in hand we make for Red Square, which is amazing. We get asked by two police officers to show them our passports (how I wish they'd asked to see our papers instead!) we show them photocopies and politely ignore them until they go away, seemed to work. St Basil's is beautiful.
Next we see the most surreal thing yet...Dead Lenin. Words cannot describe how weird it is seeing the embalmed body of a man who died in 1920 something. Very macabre. Very Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Moscow in general is larger than life, the buildings are HUGE. This evening we start our trans-siberian train journey, it's going to take us three days to get to Tomsk!
