Nazca - Nazca Lines

Text written in: English

i've heard a lot about Nazca, or the Nazca Lines to be exact. most of the things i`ve heard weren't good but we decided to get there anyway.

we got to Nazca and some peruvian tried to sell us some tours in the area, we decided to do it by ourselfs so we checked around and decided to skip the flight over the line and take the taxi for the tower near the Nazca Lines instead. we got to the tower after 20 minutes of driving into the desert near Nazca which from there we could see only 2 drawings. one is a tree and the other is a drawing of two hands, it was nice but not impressive. the thing that makes the Nazca Lines attrection disappointing is that it has no story, nobody knows anything about it like when it was created or who made it so just seeing this lines is not very interesting.

we got back to Nazca and we checked about a bus for Arequipa, there was a night bus so we had to spend half a day in the city (which was very boring becouse Nazca didn't exist until someone disconvered this lines and they just built the city next to it, Nazca surly looks like it) until the bus leaves. we got back to the bus terminal about an hour before the bus leaves, there we met an old israeli couple that came to visit their son (who's traveling in south america as well) in Ecuador, they continued travelling and now they are travelling in Peru and Bolivia for two months. they took the flight over the lines and they had about the same opinion about it like us.

the bus came and we left for another night on the road.
