Trivia night, German style

This morning we got on a train beginning in Amsterdam going straight for Frankrurt, where we were supposed to switch trains and continue to Heidelberg.  But, we left late and there was a broken train between Amsterdam and Utrecht, our first stop, so we were immediatly 35 minutes late, thus missing our connetion in Frankfurt.  It worked out for the better anyway, as we switched trains in Mannheim and arrived in Heidelberg an hour earlier.  I thought the Deutsche Bahn was more efficient than that...

Anne picked us up and we got to see her apartment and neighborhood before going down town for the Pub Quiz.  Just like us in Tacoma, she has a trivia night every Wednesday with her friends.  Anne had told them we were coming and that we were really smart and that we would help them win!  (Yikes, the pressure)  After the two rounds of questions we were tied for first place, so a player from each team got to go up for the tie breaker.  Kyle was nominated for our team.  The final question with the winner stating the correct answer first: What is the capital of Turkey?  Kyle said Ankara before the other guy could say Istan...oh, crap.  I am happy to say we did contribute a few correct answers.  The winning team gets four free meals at the pub (that`s a lot better than a free E-9 pitcher), so we earned tomorrow nights dinner!
