Shopping day!

Text written in: English

Anne had to work in court this morning, so Kyle and I spent a leisurely morning walking down into the city and through the pedestrian area.  Kyle found some snazzy shoes and I found a pair of shoes to bring back for a friend.  Germans have great shoe stores and so many of them!

We met Anne for lunch and Nordsee, a fish fast food/restaurant, a place I really like.  After some relaxing and napping we took a drive up to the Thingstaette, a giant ampitheater built by the Nazis for propoganda, rallies.  The place was HUGE!  It didn't look so big from teh outside, but on the inside it just keeps getting bigger.  It was built for 5000 people sitting and another 8000 people standing.  Now it is a place for couples to hang out.  From up there we could get a great view of the city far below.

For dinner we went back to the pub to get our free meals that we had won from the pub quiz.  A fun night filled with lively conversation.
