Second day here.

Text written in: English

Wow, this has been so awesome so far. I have met so many new people tht I can barely remember anyone's names! I'm in "Pod 20" which is a temporary team until the end of next week or so when we'll get our official "Color, Number" Teams (ie Red 2). I share a room with only one girl, thank God, they are pretty small rooms. Her name is Janine and she's from Delaware (she went to high school at Cape Henlopen-where I went camping over the summer). Rooms were selected completely randomly, we stood in line and they reached into a bucket of keys and handed us one, thus assigning us a room. Marywood should try that, it might be less hassle... Yesterday was full of waiting in a bunch of lines -to get our snazzy uniforms (which I am wearing RIGHT NOW), to get our room keys, to get our pictures taken for our ids (great idea A-Corps, make us take pictures that will be on our person for the next 10 months right after flying across the country!!-whatever I'm fine), and boots and stuff. Then last night we had a floor meeting where they went over all of the dos and don'ts and ended up making us sit there for over an hour and a half. But it was pretty informative. And they taught us how to put our belts together, which was harder than you might think. This morning we had breakfast from 6-7:15, I got there at 6:30 and there was still food left, anyone that came after 6:45 had to wait for more food to be acquired. Then at 7:15 we sorted into pods and hung out until now. William is my pod leader, he's very enthusiastic and loads of fun. Apparently we aren't allowed to do any team building or bonding of any sorts with out pods because they are very temporary and we shouldn't form attachments or something. But we played two truths and a lie and some other fun ice breakers all morning. Later today we'll have some paperwork to do, bank stuff for direct deposit, loan forebearances, etc. And then after dinner tonight I'm free until Sunday afternoon. Which is weird. (William is a Gold team leader and so we are temporarily Gold, and Gold people have off tomorrow). So tomorrow will be a day of nothing, which will actually be nice-but also pretty random. Luckily I can sleep in, which means I can stay up later watching the Office!! I have to get back to my pod now, more to come later!
